A nice article by Daniela Altimari, following a phone interview: http://tiny.cc/rqgoc Still, it would have been nice if the Courant had followed up on their promise from months ago to run an equal feature on each candidate that is on the ballot.

John Mertens receives endorsements from two non-partisan groups #CTsen #mertens2010

Press Release:

Connecticut U.S. Senate candidate John Mertens has received the endorsements of two different non-partisan organizations. The Connecticut Citizens for Ballot Initiative, a non-partisan grass roots organization dedicated to bringing Initiative and Referendum to Connecticut, issued a press release today announcing the endorsement.

Dr. Mertens also received an endorsement from Chair and Founder of Free and Equal, Christina Tobin, following the Free and Equal U.S. Senate debate at the University of Connecticut Wednesday, October 20. Free and Equal is a non-partisan, non-profit advocacy group dedicated to election reform and improving ballot access laws in the United States, and is conducting inclusive gubernatorial and U.S. Senate debates around the country. Tobin also endorsed Tom Marsh, Independent Party candidate for Governor in Connecticut, and Warren Mosler, Independent Party candidate for Senate. It is the first time Tobin has endorsed candidates in a race.
